I love my neighborhood and all of my wonderful friends in it! We are always getting together to do fun stuff. We probably get together, on average, 3-4 times a week. I'm such a lucky girl to have such a great group of serogate sisters and brothers. Yesterday, we went to my friend's house to let the kids play on the blow-up water slide and pool. They had a BLAST and so did us mommies. Tonight is ladies night. It's usually volleyball and softball night but some people are out of town. We are going to the new movie theatre (about 3 blocks down!) to watch "Maid of Honor". Pictures to follow, I'm sure!

Happy Father's Day..
To the BEST dad in the world!! My kids just ADORE their Daddy and he is so in love with them. He shows compasion as well as respect. He disiplines in a loving and calm manner and always takes the time to teach them work ethic and just how to be an all around good person. I couldn't have asked for a better father for my children. He's amazing.

This father's day (as well as mother's day) we will be enjoying our Mother/Father's day present in September when we go on our cruise. This year, Jacob was pampered and waited on hand and foot throughout the entire day... I realize now how spoiled I am! It was a nice warm day so we headed outside to use the snow-cone maker that Jacob got as a present from LAST Father's day! We had not used it ONCE that whole year. We felt it appropriate to use it this year. lol. For those of you who know Jacob, you will know that he LOVES snowcones. He waits all year for those snow-cone stands to pop up all around town. Here are some pics. He invited ALL the neighborhood kids to come out and enjoy. We used Lizzy's make-shift ice-cream/sandwich/lemonade stand.
Every time I tell Jacob what a good Daddy he is, he always responds with something like: "Well MY dad used to....." followed by an endearing story of his childhood that taught him how to be a great dad. Thanks Dad Tomseth!
Getting set up...

I'd also like to say what a great father my dad was. He worked so hard to support all of us and gave us what we needed. I was always happy as a child and I always knew that he loved me. Thanks for all those mornings, before you left for work before it was light outside when I would run outside to catch you and ask you for 50 cents to buy an icecream at schoool that day. You would always reach into that pocketfull of change that you always had and obliged with a smile. I love you Daddy!
